Halfway there!

Wow, 20 weeks already. The weeks seem to drag by as we anxiously wait to see what "fruit" baby is for the week, but when I sit and realize that I'm more than halfway there. Knowing I only have to go to 39 weeks helps, LOL. For those wondering, typically at this time baby is the size of a banana  (6.5 inches) from head to rump and 10 inches when he stretches his legs out. He also weighs about 10 ounces, which is a little less than a can of Campbell's soup. We'll get our little ones measurements at our next ultrasound.

Not much going on right now. Just quite a bit of pain when walking. It's a bummer really because I absolutely love to shop and find deals. This requires that I stand on my feet and do a decent amount of walking around many different stores. That joy has been taken away. At about 18 weeks I started having trouble walking. I'd make it through 2-3 stores and then the pain would set in. I asked my doc about it thinking that it's way to early for SPD to be starting- and she said the ligaments have stretched with each pregnancy and gone back to normal. This time, they are so relaxed that they don't do a great job with support and comfort and they don't hold the pubic bone together as they should. I wasn't really surprised because I have a problem with loose ligaments all over my body. It's been the cause of all my knee and wrist issues- it's in every joint. As far as the pain, it's only going to get worse as the weeks go by. (Real encouraging right?)Yesterday, I made it about halfway through Walmart and couldn't stand it anymore. I walked like my grandmother used to, veeerrrryyy verrrryyy slow with my thighs as close together as I could get them so that we could get back to the car.

When I last wrote I was waiting for undeniable bumps to get rid of my doppler. That day has come. About a week and a half ago I started with definite movement. There's squirms when I'm hunched over and baby is in that area, bumps when I'm laying still or trying to fall asleep, and every once in a while that bladder/cervix kick that reminds you there's someone in there. On New Year's Eve at about 1120pm (yes, I checked- I'm that sentimental)- Chop was finally able to feel the little one. We were laying in bed and baby decided he was going to ring in the new year a little bit early with his antics.Tyler and Kallie were never this active but it's nice and reassuring to feel this much movement. Remind me that I said that when every kick hurts in a few months.

We find out the sex of the baby on Monday. With Tyler and Kallie, we didn't know until birth day, but this time I am super excited to find out. Praying for a cooperative baby. Also praying that the placenta has moved away from my cervix so I can come off pelvic rest and not worry so much about a bleed or earlier than 39 week delivery so that I don't go into labor.
